Sorry but any teen dumb enough to participate in one of these “teen takeovers” is also too dumb to consider the extra charges they could potentially face if a curfew was also in effect. These are supremely **DUMB** fucking kids, let’s be so for real right now lmao ---

So, if that’s not the reason (which I said was just my guess), what would you propose the city do? ---

We would probably all have to go thru them, but it would be for the good of the children. ---

Or a ton of flock camera’s everywhere that activate tire puncture spikes that pop up whenever AI identifies a teenager in a car or e-bike out past curfew. There are ways to do this, but do we really want to live in a surveillance / police state? There is always a trade-off. Security vs. Privacy. ---

Confidence in Raleigh police continues to dwindle. > **[A Raleigh woman says police won’t help find her stolen wallet despite knowing...](https://www.wral.com/news/local/raleigh-woman-stolen-car-wallet-police-wont-help-sept-2026/)** > > Lynn Owens woke up Wednesday morning to drive her kids to school when she realized her car was missing. The thief left the car but got away with her wallet and keys. ---

Why were her keys and wallet in her car though, if she just woke up? Doesn’t change the fact that the police response is terrible, but I still want to understand. ---

> **[Car flips upside down in downtown Raleigh crash](https://www.wral.com/news/local/car-upside-down-crash-edenton-street-downtown-raleigh-october-2026/)** > > A car ended up upside down Thursday morning in a crash in downtown Raleigh. One thing that seems to be for certain to me is that at least one of these cars was driving faster than the 25MPH speed limit, and it could be that they were going significantly faster. ---

That’s funny but you’re telling me in 2026 the city has horses it allows to just shit on the street? Shouldn’t they have bags or something underneath? Letting a dog poop on the grass and leaving is against the law, but this is fine? I’d be calling Raleigh sanitation for a missed pickup. ---
