It sure looks like this is much less of a disaster than the initial photos/videos looked like it would be. If the build has escaped with only a few interior sprinklers, and no significant water damage, that would be awesome.
The initial video that I watched made it look like the entire thing was up in flames.
supposedly only 2M in damages. It’s a Christmas miracle.
great pics of what could have been quite a disaster and setback for the city. If in the course of repairs they need to remove any of the shimmer wall to access all that HVAC equipment for repair/replacement, it’d make it the perfect time to remove the shimmer wall and move it to a location that’ll be more prominent when the CC expansion is done.
You should sell these pictures to a news outlet.
ABC11 used one of my pics for an article this morning. I made $1.00. Show me the way.
Just do that 999,999 more times and you’re set!

Yes, this obviously could have been way worse. I was concerned when I saw the initial footage the other night. Thanks to the brave firefighters who kept this contained and put the fire out quickly.
Ha! I had it to the tune of “99 Problems” by Jay-Z

It’s cuz you’re too white. Someone take away this guy’s access to city council
Damn, I just tried emailing city council and I got my email rejected! ![]()
Anyway, back on track for this thread.
Did you email individually or as a mailer group?
I think they just got word from @GucciLittlePig and blocked me. ![]()
(of course I’m not being serious)
Downtown Raleigh reporting smoke at the RCC. RFD on scene.
Is this an old message? Or today, as in Friday Dec 5, 2p EST???
New. But I don’t think it is anything? It’s white smoke…so I am not thinking it is fire but condensation.
