Have they built the bridge over the creek to the greenway yet?
nope, didn’t see one
Can confirm. I specifically looked for it from the greenway side as well. Not that a proper bridge would/should be hard to find, but I was discouraged that it’s not there.
Were there ever actual real plans for a bridge over the creek? I always thought that idea stemmed from some vague lines on some conceptual sketches that have obviously changed drastically over the past 5-6 years.
Isn’t it just a short walk to the corner to get on the greenway?
It is a short walk. But it needs way better signage. Come along the greenway from the west, it feels like the greenway goes along the big new development, but the actual greenway is a trail that is barely marked a bit further down, across the creek.
I had to go back a few years in this thread to find anything resembling a site plan. Only thing close was a diagram posted by you about three years ago.
Although this diagram implies a pedestrian bridge could understand why it would either be a late phase or even eliminated since they are a big deal and the greenway headway is so close by.
Permit to build another bridge might even be denied since there already is a crossing (S. Saunders).
I did not search for any ASR documents.
It very well could have been scrapped. I recall seeing what looked like an “opening” for one back there last time I walked by, but I could be wrong about that.
Here’s a rendering with it as well (sorry, couldn’t find a larger image):
THIS WOULD BE VERY COOL, AND THEY SHOULD STILL DO IT.
