Wow much earlier than we thought. They are really rolling here. Let’s hope the convention center actually starts this fall

Is it just sitting there taking up space, or is it actually planted in in a huge concrete base several feet thick?

Very much looking forward to the extension of Fayetteville St to the auditorium.

I don’t know if these renderings of the Omni have been posted anywhere yet, but they showed them to us during the Raleigh Chamber Inter-city visit to “Phoenix” so I figured I’d share! (“Phoenix” because we spent most of our time in Tempe, and we stayed at the Omni in Tempe. I laughed because it was like saying you’re doing an inter-city visit to Raleigh but actually staying in Cary or Durham) Their Omni, while very nice, was much smaller than what they’re building here. They told us how excited they are to enter this market. Sorry for the poor quality! It was a PowerPoint projected onto a large screen.

I’m looking forward to this usually sleepy end of Fayetteville St to - hopefully - become the busiest and most bustling end of the street!
