Driving on a revoked license because of a DWI. Plowed into three cars before hitting this house. Good thing the cars slowed him down. Driver being held without bond. SMH.

The old Christ the King church at Wake Forest Rd and Clifton St has been demolished in the past week or so. I believe there was a proposal for townhomes on this site?

A lot of changes in that corridor especially if the Blount/Person project moves forward with construction this fall like the project page states.

Northgate Properties LLC. Had a house on it until sometime between 1999 and 2002 when the tract was cleared.
From iMaps this parcel plus the properties to the north are all owned by one of two LLC’s with original individual control since the early eighties. Buildings are even older although renovated in the 80’s.
So a patient investor (both LLC’s appear to have same control) that has a significant assemblage with current income.
Also a responsible property owner that pays to have the parcel mowed to keep up the neighborhood… and spark developer imagination.

Haven’t seen this mentioned yet so I will! The trophy/engraving business that took up a HUGE space next to William & Co. on Person St is moving, thus opening up said space for new business!
The rumors that have been shared with me are either a Willco expansion, or a coffee/bar concept from the Five Star team (who also co-own Willco) - I had always dreamed of this space one day becoming a cool ass vintage shop or multi-vendor/maker space or something retail oriented, so while I’m not psyched about the likelihood of yet another bar, I’m still glad to see this dead-zone on the otherwise flourishing pedestrian experience of North Person St is coming alive!
