This entertainment district was specifically requested by living community members of the historic Fourth Ward. They participated in every aspect, including designing the signs and building the signs. However, to your point, that storytelling is also going to happen with the heritage trail project!

The “entertainment” here is really just those larger shows and events that draw in big crowds. I don’t anticipate this area to ever have 7-day a week energy any time soon. The clubs you mention are great for ongoing small hits between the big events and those define the local scene much better than the larger stuff at the performing arts center and the convention center ever will. However, downtown has to have a big reach and that’s what these venues will do. It’s not exactly for the locals, at least to me. Glad to have both options honestly.
