Has this topic always been Treasuring Chris Church Rezoning lol? They really loved Chris.

Just biked by the site today and didn’t notice the sign. Can’t really blame me though. I was just thinking how basically nothing has happened here since we moved to the area.

Thank you for noticing. I changed the topic title maybe 2 years ago. As someone who is not Christian, but does know several people named Chris who I think highly of, it seemed more reasonable.

I for one am perfectly fine with the current title of the thread! :grinning:

26 luxury single-family homes for lease on 2.2 acres, get it right! It’s way worse than you’re making it! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Yeah, the luxury SFHs for lease is a head scratcher to me. I wonder if they think that interest rates are too high to sell out that project in a timely manner vis-a-vis their investment?

“Luxury” in house ads is the new “all-natural” on food labels. Completely meaningless.

Reminder that there are actually 3 properties where they are building for-lease SFHs. I am not aware of the other two and if they have started. Anyone know?

Yup, I’d guess on average “luxury” refers to real hardwood floors and relatively modern cabinet styling. Maybe a quartz countertop. Pretty sure our 1600sqft renovated 1940s house was pitched as “the height of luxury in downtown” because it has skylights and a very poorly installed fake waterfall shower.

We’re not talking like, a library with a ladder. Or even a walk in pantry.

I believe they are south of MLK near Bragg

I have 100% seen LVT floors in “luxury” listings. At least it usually means the appliances are new and not bottom-tier.

The first abode is going up.

Maybe the ones at Row 12 will become rentals too, considering they still haven’t sold any. The two that are pending aren’t really under contract. The builder wanted to keep them. Considering they’ve been on the market for about a year with no interest, It’ll be interesting to see what happens with all of them.

I think an Abode is a group and when it’s singular it’s an Abide

Luxury OSB and House Wrap, standard roof underlayment lol

If there’s no conversation pit it’s practically a slum.

Wow those are closer together than I imagined. I wonder why they wouldn’t just build townhouses at that point. Good density either way
