I would add
The Lynde condos on South Street (2 buildings)
Kane’s Clancy Theys site (3-4 buildings I forget)
Both should start within the next year. The Lynde looks like it’s getting ready to start soon actually.

I think the Crabtree Mall plans are important as well.
updated the list of active projects that are under construction or claim to start within a year. This is an impressive list I dare to say will more than double number of 10 or more story building in next few years.
Thanks to people that gave updates to original post, (their names are at end of project). If anyone thinks there is any others to add let me know, but lets keep ITB or close to and visible from 440/40 beltway

Removed 400 Hillsborough after thinking about how long it has been in “any day now” status. Can add that to the Setting on hands group
Very impressive to see them all listed together. Will be interested to see if either Downtown South or South Saunders goes forward.
Don’t think you have Seaboard Station listed (I could have missed it, or maybe that is part of the hotels).
Have it as Peace, There are a lot of hotels but they seem to be moving targets so did not try to list each of them. Seems there are 2-5 hotels downtown.
Gotcha. I thought Peace was the name of Phase I of Smoky Hollow, not Seaboard.
Also not sure if you would want to include it since it is almost done and already a presence in the skyline, but I think FNB is technically still under construction.
Thanks again, cool to see all the activity.
As Apple expands in Texas, NC officials withhold details on efforts to land tech giant
I love how everyone is being politically correct in their answers to the media about what really happened which screwed Raleigh/RTP at the last minute…HB2…and the fact Apple execs distrust of the backward-ass NC legislature
Microsoft announced its intent to add 500 new jobs in Morrisville…tax incentives were pretty heavy…not shocking. An ex-Raleighite & Red Hatter is the President of Microsoft US so hopefully this is just the beginning.
For those of us who can’t get past the News and Observer pay wall.
Is this in RTP ot somewhere else in Morrisville?
Perimeter Park is their current location that is being expanded. They are also going to select a new site in the future as well.
Downtown
downtown
Perhaps naming rights for Microsoft Tower in DoSo.
Frankly I’m not super keen on expanding in Downtown South while there’s still so much potential in the current downtown areas.
I think 121 Fay, 400H, or one of the 40-story-ish proposals would be my preference for a big tenant like this. Where’s there’s already some action to build into.
Your obsession with bathroom bills, the legislature, and Apple is beyond psycho at this point.
Did Apple open up shop in Raleigh? Do you know why they didn’t? I do.
The Apple and HB2 topic is now off topic and officially been beaten to death. Move on, all.
Agreed.
Anyone notice the average salary of Microsoft’s announcement for Raleigh is almost $30,000 higher than the charlatan USA Microsoft jobs announcement?
Is charlotte’s Microsoft office just a call center?
Just looked that up myself.

While it may technically be a call center, tech company call centers tend to be tech support with more skilled employees, but not as skilled as developers.
