Inner Banks of NC will be Outer Banks ??

Think about your nieces / nephews kids since you don’t have any human dependents…?
That’s what I do. My Pups are gone before I am. Sad but true.
So - consider the next generation or then next because beyond, as you say, might be too far to gone or too far to consider…
Washington is actually a really cool little town — y’all should check it out if you haven’t already!
I… I was just kidding.
Nice, unitized system with shadow box. $$$.
SECU used a unitized curtain wall system for the portion of the facade that is fire-rated, and I know parts of RDU Terminal 2 have a unitized curtain wall, but I’m not aware of any buildings downtown that are entirely unitized. Maybe a first for our market?
The new DHHS tower will also be mostly unitized curtain wall.
Why the 400’ starting from 100’? Is the first hundred underground?
They used 100’ for the base reference point for some reason.
Seems stupid since they also have the reference elevation above sea level at the base as well.
Maybe they are thinking sea level 100 years from now, when SE Raleigh will be sea front property.
Holy $$$$$$$!!! Why though is part of the facade fire rated? I don’t think I have never seen where you would need to have an exterior fire rated curtain wall. I didn’t even know there was a rated curtain wall system. I know there is rated storefront as that’s not terribly uncommon when you want an aluminum look instead of hollow metal, but those tend to be VE’d out of projects pretty quickly.
How quick we forget, only to pay price for forgetting ---- Grenfell Tower fire - Wikipedia
I believe this will be the first building (in downtown) to be in the 300-400ft range (even if at exactly 300 it counts! And not the first in Raleigh, as the Walter is right in the middle of that range in North Hills). I love the look of this!!!
The RUSbus facility will break ground before this and will stand 435 feet.
That’d be in the 400-500 ft range, of which we have 3 already
Don’t forget the Creamery residential tower. It should be around 330 feet tall and plus the Nexus Project so far is still alive and rezoned for higher buildings.
Should break ground before. They’ve met their deadlines for the federal funding and I’m told they’re working towards breaking ground as soon as possible. That said, the logistics of coordinating between the various vested parties with this are adding quite a bit of delay and there’s no pressure of deadlines to push it along.
Still have bad feeling RBus will get bungled.
Why do you think that? Everything so far has been great!
