The precast pieces are being installed on the first 2 floors (not the ones with windows)

We’re adding power for our new City Hall!
What does this mean?
The power will go out at the Raleigh Municipal Building (and attached parking deck) at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 18, and is scheduled to come back on by 6 p.m. Sunday July 21. During this work the building and attached parking deck are closed.
Thanks, in advance, for bearing with us as we complete this exciting milestone.
Damn if that’s accurate, it’s gonna appear a lot taller than I think we were anticipating!
I guess it could “appear” taller…
Idk call me cynical but I’ve just imagined this will look like another 20-story box. I think I’m just not used to a 300ish footer going up in Raleigh!
The building will be 17 stories tall.
“Progress” is not directly proportional to currently constructed structural height.
It’s 265 feet high, half the height of PNC. Does the picture make it seem taller to you, or did you just not realize the first couple floors were a little different than the rest of the building?
Well poop. Why did I suddenly think this was gonna be 300 ft tall??? I also thought the “25% progress” on the picture implied which floor was just finished and thus how much was left to go but nope, that’s just overall progress. They tricked me. Ignore me hahaha
The original proposed building with the three extra floors may have been around 300 feet.
I am really going to like this city tall.
I’ll really look nice on the skyline hope this could spur some more development on the core of Raleigh. Which is desperate for more towers.
Need someone to actually do something with the old News & Observer lot bc it looks horrible.

I parked here for 2 hour tour of downtown. That Municipal parking deck needs an ADA update LOL I parked on top floor and couldn’t find an elevator. Anyway here is the new City Hall building.
