Since you felt the need to follow up your first misguided comment, you clearly are somewhat serious. It’s laughable thinking a downtown library would fail. It’s also laughable you think DTR is ridden with homelessness and crime like some other downtowns. I don’t know how many times we need to rehash how Raleigh is practically the safest DT for a city its size. Everyone knows this. Sure there are pockets, and they’re really really small pockets. Go anywhere else and compare dude. I’ll give you the one example in a later post of a perfectly safe DT with zero homeless or crime issues, so there’s one, and it’s Bellevue. Also comes with a ton of drawbacks, believe it or not.
We don’t need anyone on this forum pushing back on a downtown library, it should be unanimous support from this group, so it’s sad you’re here.
