That’s awkward. This leaves 626 W Jones St surrounded by 7 story building, potentially.
It would also appear that they use an unofficial alley between 628 and 212 Blount to access the rear of their property.
So I thought it was the ugly brick building to the right being allowed to remain, but I hadn’t paid attention to the addresses closely. I guess it’s slightly better that the one remaining is better looking, but yeah, it’s gonna be pretty awkward. I guess this is what happens when one owner just doesn’t want to sell.
So glad to hear about this one. It’s all CASA owned and per the rezoning application “CASA plans to redevelop the properties into a higher density, mixed-income development with both affordable and market rate units.” What the city needs!!
Rezoning for 20 stories here passed. No immediate plans, but the owner has been approached about a hotel and also apartments. Cox of course voted against.
One guy showed up to speak in opposition because it’s too tall despite all the approved zoning for 20 and 40 stories all nearby. He also (accidentally?) referred to Stormie Forte as Stormy Daniels.
