I’m not sure how they came to be but I’m sure it was through a traffic analysis during the early project design phase. Yeah, drivers don’t tend to use Tucker St, unless they are following a weirdly calibrated gps route (as I’ve noticed). I’ve walked in this area at least 100 times since I’ve moved downtown. I’m not sure what the arrangement is for this street but it has been blocked off before - randomly closed and not for events. This seems to be the only street like this downtown?

The only time I’ve seen it used by a car is when someone is dropping off or picking up. I suppose that folks who park in the garage have to use it! All in all, it just seems like it’s mainly a walking promenade, and I suppose that’s its intent.

The garage entrance is pretty redundant because there is an entrance and exit on both West and Harrington.

It was split up for hourly retail parking and long term residential parking, it’s been a while so I’m a bit cloudy on the specific details.
