I wish that GoRaleigh would occasionally have stops where they guarantee that they would wait x number of minutes for a transfer and disclose what those are, but I think the 33L is bad due to the deviation down to main street, more than due to the transfer. I also think that New Bern BRT, would also help get the speed of those journeys up.
i used the 25L pre 2009…always seemed a leggy route on durant. you may be right. my folks cought the 2 northbound because they were visually impaired and werent comfortable crossing FotN and headed into town that way…Wake Med North seems a reasonable anchor? if not only for patients for some DTR personnel? dont know the numbers…if i was a employee there (wake med north), perhaps lived in dtr ina tall box and could bus there instead of drive with near equivalent commute times i would…decompress and relax on my commute??
Found the gold bus on the 9 today, unfortunately the driver ignored me
Saw it at Crabtree on Monday
and in our favorite out of service bus parking spot some time last week…
what great sidewalks, and I do love those townhomes. Oh, the bus is cool too! lol.
Thanks for the photo!
I heard a rumor that some articulated buses will enter service on the 1 in a matter of months.
Not sure if it was in service but saw it at two separate times the other day on Person and then later on blount by the bus station
Very cool ![]()
Now, make sure that you can get some beds in this thing and add the correct wheel structure and this baby is ready to go on the roads and the train tracks ![]()

Grabbed this shot last month. It was moving away from me and the photo is rushed, so it’s not as sexy of a shot as yours!
Looks like a school bus that was on Pimp My Ride.
When the sun hits it just right, it’s rather blinding
.
I want to see that! ![]()
Spotted an orange BRT bus for the first time this morning testing on Wake Forest Rd for future Route 1 service.
I finally got a glimpse of GoRaleigh’s 50th anniversary bus (because it rolled right past my house). You can’t miss it!
