A lot of future residents in this shot
Indeed! Is that Heritage Park in the middle ground?
Yes it is.
The Weld is moving fast and will soon be visible from many ground level angles
Our inability to properly protect our downtown trees is a concern. Clearly this method isn’t working as we’ve already lost one!
RIP
In all seriousness, why are they building out tree protection boxes where trees don’t exist??
Maybe it’s an acorn and it’s beyond 12 weeks?
How far up Falls is this?
Welcome to the community! I think it is the best source for anything related to DT Raleigh!
Looks like my Falls River area, so just past Durant.
Even North Hills looks far away, so I figured it was pretty far up there. Thanks.
I was thinking of the Wake Forest area…but an excellent picture! Thank you!
And welcome to our little DTR community!
Yea, that large open grass area is the old landfill on Durant.
Now Green Hills County Park - highly recommended as a good walk or a pleasant picnic spot when it’s nice out.
Is the public allowed access to the hills and grass area now? It’s been a while since I dropped off any motor oil out there, but I remember seeing methane exhaust pipping at one point. I need to go back.
Yup! Nice view of downtown off in the distance from the summit, and a few tables set up for lunching.
That’s taken above Summerton Drive in Wood Spring
Great shots! That first one over RUS - so much potential!! As far as the eye can see!!
In the second, those are some mighty Big shadows those tall buildings are creating!!
Awesome first posts. Welcome to the community!
RalE likes big bases and squat buildings…and we cannot lie…
On the brightside, there’s plenty of parking at 300
I’ll follow that bright side, with a reference of an Austin Gensler project we can dream about - in the future, we could just just top some of our 20 story towers with another tower and bingo, supertower…
