If anyone else was curious, what was previously proposed:
It actually looks better in the updated renderings. For once, Raleigh didn’t hit us with the ole’ value-engineered switcharoo!
Wow that looks a lot better than what is there now! Any idea when this is supposed to actually happen?
Yeah I almost don’t believe it! hahaha - now BRING IT ON!
The concourses have been under construction all season. There’s stuff going on outside too. It’s literally under construction. We’re not waiting for anything to start.
If you’re talking about the exterior and any movement of exterior walls, that’ll happen after the season. But again, these upgrades are already in progress.
Sorry, yeah, I guess I meant the main exterior update and the beer hall. If they’ve started, I wasn’t aware (hence the question). I assume if they’re just releasing these renderings, it’s not about to start. It’s not that I think it won’t happen; I’m just impatient to see it all come together.
Yeah again I’m just gonna throw it out there to deaf ears but dude really has a certain tone to their comments, like f**k you for not having been inside LENOVO CENTER to have seen the interior work going on, I guess??? lmao
I haven’t been inside Lenovo Center since I saw Rage Against the Machine a few years ago. I had no idea work had started, either. But even then, I think your/our comments about “when will this happen?” was referring to the (very cool) exterior renovations. Good to know it’ll be after this season ends! Hopefully with a STANLEY CUP!
What about the parking structure(s)? Last I heard the first one was supposed to begin right after the last home football game.
Capacity was a discussion awhile back. Here is a nugget from the N&O:
Added seating capacity to the lower bowl with the reduction of aisles, and all new seating

There are few new pics at the link
For those who doubt the ability of an NWSL team to be the anchor tenant of the proposed stadium, the NWSL team in Denver just drew 63,000 for a match.
They are building a 14,500 seat stadium.
Denver is significantly bigger than Raleigh - but with a much smaller stadium, I’m sure ours will still be successful, sure.
Some more details about all of this.
Denver is funding >100 million for there stadium because the NWSL isn’t a big enough nor respectable enough league for it teams to get substantial public funding for a stadium. I think Raleigh should give Malik $50 million and Wake County should give him $50 million for the stadium that $100 million. It’s a public private partnership but the best about it is the city giving under $100 million.
This topic has been pretty dead so we need to liven it up again, would you guys prefer an indoor or outdoor stadium?
Feel free to provide existing stadiums as examples of what you’d like to see.
I would prefer an outdoor ballpark so that it would have a classic baseball atmosphere and aesthetic.
Exhibit A: Orioles Park at Camden Yards
This is a side note but I’d really hope that our leaders would have the courage to require the development team to include hundreds of bike racks and storage units at the stadium, if built.
The last thing we need is for there to be a lack of mobility options for game attendees.
And transit too. I hope buses can have a stop there on game days.
I hope it has a giant parking lot. Preferably free. With close parking for everyone. ![]()
Just like everything involving the Chiefs franchise: disgusting. Vile. Horrific.
Go Bills.
