South Street Area Condos, Townhomes and Apartments

Not sure which spot on Faye St youre referring to. This one is a brewery that is opening a taproom in this location, similar concept to the Burial in Transfer.

It most certainly is. In 20 years, everyone who updated their houses and buildings to look like that are going to be doing it all over again because it’s dated.

This is probably a temp revamp. In 20 years this will (hopefully) be a 12+ story rebuild. It is totally better than it was and I am sure they were trying to preserve 50 percent so they could rebuild on the same footprint. I am just glad it isn’t the the ugly mess it was.

I agree. I would rather have a wine bar. A coffee bar. A dessert bar. Another brewery seems like overkill to me. But what do I know. I am just glad it will be a nice looking brewery. Hopefully the beer will be good. For those who like beer.

Ever since Vita Vitae left Hargett Street, I’ve been pining for a “West End” wine bar (my partner knows I won’t shut up about it). There’s a retail space in Oldham & Worth that I think would be perfect (the renderings even had a wine bar sign there), but there are a few other spots that could work as well.

I know Brightside is technically a bookshop and wine bar, but it’s not the same as a true wine bar.

I’ve thought about begging Raleigh Wine Shop to open an outpost on the west side. :wine_glass:
