Urban Oak is open.⠀⠀⠀
Perhaps those cities also require that loud nightclubs mitigate noise with the way that they are constructed/renovated, and perhaps those cities are adamant about not being noisy outside? I found that noise was not tolerated outside of bars in both Paris and Berlin. I also didn’t find the exterior of bars to be noisy in Helsinki either, but that city is never noisy, and those folks are big time into heavy metal music.
Hah, I love Helsinki, but the Finns barely speak above a whisper beyond the aforementioned metal concerts.
As cold as Helsinki is, aren’t all buildings well insulated?
In small town Morocco, (Oujda) the only real club was in the international hotel. The weather is nice, you sleep with balciony doors open. You definately wanted to be on the garden ans not ckub side, lol.
They become different people when they drink. I too love Finland (in the Summer).
Yes it does
The prisoners have a new pastime
Went with friends recently. It’s a GREAT space. Fun vibe. Lot of kinks to work out with the service but it’s brand new. Drink prices here are C-R-A-Z-Y but then so are eggs.
Can’t wait to go back.
Gotta price fancy to be fancy. My wife’s martini at Crawford in the Fenton was like 28 bucks. We’re almost ready for a Gucci store. Lol!
Note to self: a good side hustle when I retire will be to open a martini bar and only charge $27.
$27+ for a cocktail is insane! Even in NYC at places like Portrait Bar in the Fifth Ave Hotel where the nightly room rate is nearly $1K doesn’t charge that much.
Yeah, I’d have to pass on paying that much money for a small glass of canned olive juice and rotten potato water…
I don’t think I want to go to your martini bar…
I’ll go to John’s instead.
As a preferred patron, you are entitled to a lifetime 10% discount.
10% off the drink, or in the gift shop?
Well, the gift shop is Gucci, so there’s a secret family discount that I am not privy to.
I hope they used a whole bottle of liquor to make that martini.
