GoRaleigh Bus System, now and the future

“Around 2030” doesn’t sound like a problem, though? That’s right around when we expect the Raleigh-Norlina-Richmond corridor to be renovated. So honestly, that would be the perfect time for us to receive the new train sets, anyways.

Also, not that it immediately matters, but this rolling stock is hybrid-powered; Carolinian trains will no longer have to waste 25min to switch between diesel and electric locomotives at DC. If we ever get around to electrifying the tracks in North Carolina in the distant future, we’ll be able to benefit from this efficiency, too.
