The Weld - Hammell Dr Developments

What does this area of Raleigh have a district name yet? You know other that the exhilarating “Dix Edge Area Study”?

Well, since it’s the “Dix Edge” and we now have a “West End” - I suggest “Bell End”

I’ll see myself out.

Edging Dix or Fish Dix have my vote. There should also be a weekly food truck rodeo called Eat Dix, as long as we’re throwing out good ideas.

I think Park District or Park City would the best :man_shrugging:t4:

Park District > Dix District

Conveys purpose to non-locals.

“The Dixtrict”

“Down Under Dix”

“Dix End”

“Mixed Use Infill in close proximity to Recreational Facilities”

Seriously though it’ll be the Park District.

1.2k units plus the units at Park City South in this area will be a game changer for this neighborhood. I hope more dense development occurs towards Downtown South.

The former “Baker Roof” commercial/industrial area north of Maywood across Lake Wheeler Road from the Farmers Market side of the park will undoubtedly have as much residential area as the Weld and Park City node along with its share of supporting commercial uses.

The Weld development looks outstanding from the Mira! Now if we can lease some goats to eat the kudzu in front of the Mira. :goat:
