It’s because of the Dix
Funny but fair. Though I think its better than something like Dixwood or Dixleigh.
Smallwood, Pullen-Dix, Glasscock, Seymour Johnson… This area already has some spectacular names.
But you haven’t asked John Kane. He has the last word in names. That is why we are stuck with Midtown, West End, South End, followed by #GardenParty #DixTrix and #NoFortyStories - to be fair I am sure he would like a Forty Story District LOL
Best not to get that in the eye of the beholder…
Nor as bad as how Johnson turns into Smallwood as it crosses Clark Ave.
we need “DIXTRICT” or “DI-TRI” far more than the trying-to-hard-to-make-it-stick “GLOSO” moniker

Y’all. Slow day at work, today?
The Weld has started pre-leasing one of their buildings, The Holston. My wife and I went on a tour today. Nice building! The leasing agent described it as the “wine and cheese building” vs Ray, which seemingly isn’t quite as nice. Didn’t get a ton of pics, but the city views were top tier. I didn’t see full pricing, but seemed to be slightly above normal “luxury” rates, but below what Maeve is charging. They are already offering leasing specials (2 months free if you move in during August).
This is the Gensler building, right?
Wow nice! If only I didn’t have that pesky mortgage
NO complaints from me! Looks lovely
I see these plants with pipes for irrigation and realize they’re trying to cover the parking deck screening in plants. That’s pretty awesome.
Drove over here too. These up close look a lot better and not the twins I once thought. Son of Kane did his family good. I am sure Dad Mr Kane is pleased even though he has a competing project nearby.
I wish that they had different massings from each other. As they stand, they appear like fraternal twins.
