Where in Raleigh was this picture taken? Take a picture, post, and let us guess

Nope! If there’s something similar there I’ll have to check it out some time.

If I killed the thread, I can offer some hints. It’s on an official trail in a Raleigh park and not somewhere secret. And while not Lake Johnson, it is near another lake.

Perhaps near Lake Raleigh along Walnut Creek?

Nope! Nowhere on or near Walnut Creek or Lake Raleigh. One final hint for the geology freaks out there: this is called the Raleigh leucogneiss rock formation, and it is highly erosion resistant, so it tends to be a good place to find cascades like this. It forms razor-like bands in many creeks… which you may have seen. Falls Dam and Lassiter Mill were both built on this feature.

Hint: it is not art on the sidewalk.

That would be the Capital Apartments at Blount and New Bern Pl.

Bingo. :dart: (More characters to get pass the counter).

All right, this one should be easy. Where is it?

Peace and St. Marys, looking west.

You got it! :white_check_mark:

Did anyone ever guess this right?! Definitely need it on my list to go

No one did. I guess I win. It is on the Lake Park Trail, a dirt trail from the greenway at Shelley Lake, just before the bridge.

Is that the Wilmot Apartments on Hillsborough?

I think that is the building on the south east corner of Ashe and Hillsborough.

Hint: view could drastically change with some extra rails in the future

Is that Pigeon House Creek somewhere in the vicinity of Smoky Hollow?
