William Peace and Seaboard Station

I think that this greater project is going to be pretty darned impactful. Even with its size, it still feels like it’s flying under the radar.

I agree. This crane is actually pretty visible from a handful of viewpoints, including coming into to the city from the North. I do wonder if that’s the tallest it will go, however. Because for a 7-story building, the crane seems just slightly too short. Residential though, so I could be wrong.

Saw that J. Betzki’s is closing in a couple of weeks, but plan to have a new restaurant “nearby.”

Went out there yesterday to grab a few pics. I’m really hoping Seaboard Station becomes a bigger destination in Raleigh once this master plan is fully built out.

I really hope they decide to build the hotel and choose a different brand than Marriott.

I hope they do build another Marriott. We can have a new motto, Raleigh: City of Marriotts. And then on NYE we can drop a beige box instead of an acorn…

Seeing these it just occurs to me that I did not put our Flamingo out for the summer - and now the summer is (sorta) over!!!

At that point we might as well get Marriott to relocate their corporate offices here from the Maryland suburbs of DC. I’d /s this but it oddly makes some sense!

It’s the South, it’s almost always summer. It’s currently False Fall, but Still Summer is coming soon.
We have 2 flamingos out front always…

I’m thinking they are done with the subterranean parking deck and now officially onto the building itself

Had lunch at Bad Daddy’s today and I walked over to the site. I was impressed with how massive this building is going to be. Thanks for the aerial shots.

Block C site (former Phydeaux/JBetski building). I think I glossed over the plans and elevations from back in April.

But wow - a 2-story blank wall on the North elevation facing O2 / Ace building. :face_vomiting:

There’s 3 townhomes built into bottom 2 floors at the southwest corner.

Parking deck facing Logan’s / Cotton Mill / Capital Blvd:
