So are you saying have children? I’m confused.
Wasn’t directed towards people who can’t physically or financially have kids or those that shouldn’t have kids. I recognized shortly after I posted how douchy I sounded but I think there is a conversation to be had about demographic decline and the lack of young people. There are likely better ways to bring up the subject. My bad.
Man, no offense but I think I made it quite obvious.
Kids or not you’re not doing anything special bud…
That might be the most accurate thing you’ve ever posted. Mah man!
And then someone has the audacity to flag my posts.

Business expansion in the Triangle undoubtedly requires somebody has kids, otherwise we’ll stop expanding.
Ok, back on topic…
Giving you a like for what was likely a savage comment before you deleted it.
This screams HUB RTP to me.
Good stuff! Rumor is Salesforce & AWS are next but Downtown Raleigh is their location……
Hopefully Zimmer tower
Nexus or Smoky Hollow phase 3😉
It’s interesting that Durham gets these deals. On the one hand I get that Durham has the University Town vibe with bright young college students milling around, which counts for a lot I guess, culturally, but Raleigh has a bigger footprint with office space and more restaurants and whatnot. I’d certainly pick Raleigh if I were them.
I think the key here is Durham County has most of the Park.
Ever heard of NC State University?
Right. Good point. Which was the point of building that place in the first place. Relatively cheap land to build lots of office space within close proximity to several top universities. And the value proposition is actually better now with more amenities in the area. My guess is that younger pre-family tech workers will still prefer places like SF/Boston/Austin but slightly older people with young families will find it attractive. But then again you could attract the younger crowd with a DTR location which is sort of a “greenfield” for an urban experience for less cost than the established hubs. That’s how Raleigh should position itself anyway.
It’s going to be Downtown not RTP. Downtown Durham is so much closer to the center of the triangle /RTP/Airport. Downtown Raleigh suffers from its far eastern location as it relates to the greater market.
Is this fact or just speculation? The article mentions they have no plans for “the research triangle” not Durham specifically.
Also, Downtown Durham is less than a mile closer to the airport than Downtown Raleigh.
The Spring Hill land behind the farmers market off of Centennial is begging for a big development to come in.
