Here is what a mini IKEA store looks like and there is one in south Charlotte at Providence and I-485. It is 15,000 sq ft. had a little bit of everything a few examples of rooms but lots of places where you can plan a kitchen, bathroom etc. But everytime I go to the mini IKEA I find something. Oh you can pick up purchases here too. Plus they have a small freezer selling their famous meatballs. I agree IKEA should have one of these in Raleigh, Durham, Winston, Charleston and Greenville SC all to feed into their huge Charlotte store. I think they are just not building the big stores anymore and that is a shame. Our large store off I-85 is 360,000 sq ft. This small store has evolved from this story and that is why I never went until recently as I thought it was just a order and pickup store and I live closer to the mothership.
