There is one tenant who could build an office tower like that but I am afraid they are too cheap to do it. First Citizens Bank which is a top 20 bank in the USA but you would never know from their small headquarters building. You would think they would want to project a big national image but they dont. Most of the stock is owned by the Holding family and I dont think they are interested. But I do think it would help with recruitment to have a nice tall presence in downtown Raleigh like their other NC based peers.

True… I’m surprised there still here in Raleigh.
Sell their (First Citizens) land and building to Kane to expand North Hills even more along Six Forks. Then build a new tower downtown that will be a signature tower for Kane and First Citizens emblazoned with their name on top.

Maybe we’ll see I think Raleigh should partner up with developers to recruit companies to be tenants in there towers I’m pro business.
They also own a good bit of land on Hammond Rd going into Garner.

I dont mind a banker who is thrifty. The Holdens are very much so. They broke so many hearts when they took down their historic downtown building and never replaced it. I wish they would invest in a signature building downtown, but if they dont I will be happy as long as they dont pack up and move to Chatlotte.

Not sure if layoff news is relevant in this thread, but Epic Games is laying off 1,000 people.
Epic Games is laying off 211 people in Cary and the rest of the 1000 jobs outside this state and across the world.
