Most departments are 50/50. Some are 100% but the actual number from people who work there is about 30% show up. Excuses to WFH as no enforcement. With new metal detectors to get in OEP, staff are being held up (not literally) 15 minutes as guards search their wallets & purses. They are not happy. I hope it changes.

Housing and Neighborhoods is 60% with enforcement, fwiw. It does take 1-2 extra minutes to get searched on way in to City Hall if there’s no one else in line.

Rendering with 16 floors. Height is 258’ to top of screen wall.

I like the bottom portion a lot more than the top. I know I’m beating a dead horse, but wish a new downtown library could’ve been somehow incorporated here.

Without a solid construction contract signed this is meaningless. What are they gonna do talk about this for 6 more months so the price rises another $30 million and they go back to chop up another 4 floors?

They already have CM@R construction contract: joint venture Brasfield & Gorrie - Holt Brothers. Subcontracts should be bidding this fall.

I think it’s an elegant building and it will be a welcomed addition to our skyline, despite the fact that it’s essentially the same height as 400H and the Pendo building. I like that its “platform” is highly transparent instead of it being a parking garage!

That and it is NOT blue glass. I am so done with blue glass buildings.
I do like this design and am excited to seem the work get started.

Great rendering of city hall, isn’t there Two towers in the proposed design ??

The rendering is just phase 1. There is supposed to be a phase 2 tower in the future.

Construction fencing is currently being put up around the building. Has this received demolition and building permits?

This is all I could find

Utilities were moved last year or the year before. The existing building should come down before the end of the year and new building should be moving dirt early 2024.
