Wow, didn’t realize it was that close already! Great to hear, thanks for the info!
Wahoo!
The only thing I hope they recreate from that blah suburban-style box and driveway is the random palmetto out front that reminds you you’re only an hour or two from the beach.
I’d also have said the second floor balcony, but it looks like this one has a third floor roof deck so checkmate.
They could have at least built a parking deck to help with the height and of course all those people, driving around looking for a parking space to only find that there are only three out front! HAHAHA
It’s gonna be hugeeeee
I don’t know that I’d use the word huge, but it’s going to be an improvement.
I found this link online for the tower project. Just click on the link then click onto projects, and you will find city of Raleigh Municipal campus tower slated to be completed by 2025.
Thanks to you, and everyone, posting this buildings demise.
Here’s a direct link. A bit hard to find by scrolling down.
Looking back through these renders, this is gonna kinda twin Cap_Square with a more sprawling, open lower level…Gonna be a great space to peep the construx over at Nexus in 2030…
I like how the exterior will be granite, which should look nice, especially at night and with the right lighting.
Is well this six new projects under construction
I’m expecting an elegance and refinement to this that will set it apart from Capital Square, the kind of detail you don’t really see until you’re up close or when the light hits just right.
No idea where they actually ended up with the facade though, because the panels are shown inconsistently in various renders.
I bet this will also have much nicer accent lighting at night since no one will be living in it.
I’m trying to think if there has ever been so much major urban demolition in NC all at once before? Seems like a lot of 4+ story buildings have been coming down between Raleigh and Durham and Charlotte in the past year.
WRAL mostly summarizing what we already know. They did mention demolition happening this month, construction this summer, and completion in 3 years from now (Dec 2026).
Three years folks. That’s government
