Even as a little kid, I never bought the Peanuts gang could make that pitiful tree into the perfectly conical decorated tree that resulted at the end of the show. ![]()
The red ones are to let all my sister’s friends know to not date this floor.
holy shit that website is cancer but:
While federal agents have said the raids are designed to target criminals, Johnson said most of the people he works with on the City Hall project are here because they want a better opportunity until they can attain legal status.
“I definitely don’t shun them at all. They’re very helpful. They make up half of our workforce. This is a dying trade.”
In a sane country, we’d be fastracking citizenship for immigrants coming to work these “dying trades” - but alas, nah let’s scare them all out so we can fall faster into oblivion. Stupid AF.
Even if it’s not citizenship, you can at least fast-track a process to residency. Heck, I suspect that even getting a work visa is purposely dragged through cold molasses.
The feds would much prefer to take a hitler-like approach instead of a fair approach, right @HardeesBiscuit?
It sure looks prominent from some key locations.
Being in the construction industry I don’t like what’s going on either. Most of the guys(& gals) I work with daily are hardworking law abiding people, whether they’re “documented” or not. That said, the fact that the previous administration opened up the borders and allowed millions of unvetted immigrants flood into the country is unconscionable, and frankly a dereliction of duty. I’m okay ICE removing folks w outstanding felony warrants, IMO they’ve waived their rights to any due process. But randomly picking up “documented” or “undocumented” people is just wrong. We need to have a system in place to allow people to stay and make a better life for themselves.
That does look nice. Good thing RUSBUS is stalled forever, it’d block the view!
What do you mean? It was clearly re-designed into MULTIPLE towers, as seen in the very picture Leo just posted:
5 posts were split to a new topic: Nash Square, Urban Oasis or Tree Graveyard?
Somehow the downtown pic from the roof of a parking deck doesn’t hit the same way in Cary as it does in Raleigh… ![]()

I wish that the city had taken the opportunity to work with one of our up and coming technology companies and worked to add something to the top of this nice building ![]()
