Not unless they allow the pooches into that stand of pine trees, which I doubt…
It says there will be shade structures. Maybe the pic is just showing the location and not any improvements they plan on making?
I like the dual areas for large dogs so they can rotate and try to keep the grass alive.
Anyone post this yet?

https://twitter.com/dreamvillefest/status/1442549599420485636?s=21 Tickets for the Dreamville Festival in 2022 are going to be available this Friday. And the festival will last 2 days so more hotel rooms are going to be filled this time around, I’m really excited.
Awesome that they’re going for 2-days and becoming a legit, full blown weekend festival!
People are already booking hotel rooms, I love it.
This was in the RALToday newsletter. I grew up playing CASL games out here.
Do you know why the stopped cutting the fields on Hunt Dr? That was one of the most used areas of the park before
Your guess is as good as mine as I can only speculate. Maybe it is a money issue? I don’t know if any of the big youth leagues in the area (NCFC, Triangle United, Wake FC, etc) use those fields? I’m assuming if they used the fields they would have contributed to their upkeep. However I have no clue so I could be completely off here.
I got to check out a few of the sculptures scattered around Dix Park as part of the Wings of the City/Alas de la Ciudad installation on my dog walk this evening. I’m looking forward to seeing them during the day. Definitely worth a visit and there’s an opening event this Saturday.
Is this a temporary event?
It’s a traveling exhibition and will be here through March 2022.
Love it. Popped this perspective also on Wed am and dropped a couple Pics in the Pics of DTR thread.
Very cool to see the park activated with a travel exhibit. Exciting to think that we could get larger exhibits stretching from this to NCMA in the future along the greenway. An honest to goodness ARTery…?
They have started to install the lights and decorations for the WRAL Night of Lights, which starts November 20th.
Gotta send this to my co-worker! He’s been pushing hard to implement Dutch roundabouts here (or as they call them)“turbos” This’ll make his day.
Finally! The city owning Dix park brings this needed transportation endeavor to bear…
Would be great to see this actually begin to take shape late next year!?
Nice to see that signalized light at the new FM entrance included here and some Dutch roundabout influence…!
The city’s comprehensive plan for “Dix Edge(s)” includes a lot of green streets and biker-friendly streets . You truly love to see it.
