This the one I love the most and guess it fit perfectly fine for Raleigh skyline

If these pictures are to be taken with any value:

This really cool one….

And now changed to this one (more blah)

Then DTRS will be more like a suburban office park with entertainment/restaurants and less like NH’s or a draw from DTR.

Both of course both are win-win for Raleigh. But the newer version is looking more and more like nothing exceptional or special… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Imo even if they were all mid rise buildings it’d be a huge win just in the sense of extending the street level activity of downtown southward toward 40. It dramatically extends the perception of Downtown.

Yup. What makes a suburban office park so bland and soul-killing isn’t the height of the buildings.

After all, Washington DC and Rome are pretty darn walkable.

Okay so let’s make a vote i love the number 1 picture it gives a full impact to downtown south raleigh these office are more much better to for jobs an careers

With the way the area is growing it won’t be a draw from Downtown, it will be another option for entertainment and things to do, and as Raleigh grows will fit in perfectly and be its own district and have its own flavor, which is more of what we need here in the city.

True positive that so called being smart

2040? I hope that I am still alive!
By 2040, Wake County will likely be 1.6M + and Raleigh will be over 600,000. One would think we could have many developments like this!

The venue is included in Phase I, but no renderings, details, or construction date have been released. I talked to someone in the Kane organization, but the only information I was able to glean is that the venue will be an enclosed building and NOT an amphitheater.

The second one is growing on me. If my orientation is correct, the open-ended section will be angled towards DTR? Hopefully as we continue to grow vertically over the next 20 years it’ll have a nice skyline view.

EDIT: From an acoustics POV, not sure having an open section is the best for keeping the sound within the stadium? I’m not an stadium audio expert but what do I know.

Yeah, that was their big pitch. I actually like the second one better for that reason. I’m sure it would get blocked eventually, but it makes for a really unique experience in the meantime. Plus, I like the idea of the area immediately surrounding the soccer park being filled with natural features and walking trails. Brings more life to the area on non-event days. And I remember them pitching the idea of a fan march across the bridge to the stadium on gameday, which would be pretty fun.
