Farm to Table Food

I wanted to create a thread for Leo to move all Farm to Table conversations into. It’s obviously a hot button issue with passions running high on here.

(Or feel free to delete if this is only a passing phase.)

Isn’t technically all food farm to table? Except stuff that is hunted, foraged, or lab grown.

I think the premise is that it goes from a farm to your table directly. Kind of like when you grow peaches and make a peach pie. It tastes better because it’s fresh and didn’t have to sit in trucks and warehouses for weeks, and wasn’t factory farmed to the point of of efficiency making it bland. But like natural, organic, free-range, environmentally friendly, etc. it’s a term that isn’t always well regulated.

I’m more of a “table to mouth” kind of person so when we have a need for that thread, I’ll chime in more. You all have your fun here.

Personally, I’m team table.

what are some of the good Farm to Table restaurants around Raleigh I would like to know. I frequently go to a restaurant in the small town of Mt Pleasant NC home to 73 and Main a great farm to table. One of the best in the Charlotte region.
