may be been a LONG time since I was down there to see it.
This building has a historic marker on it
Probably better these building stay a little longer until DTR can support ‘good design’ on the regular. If they were torn down now they would be replaced by more 20-story glass tower on a parking diaper we’ve seen so far.
I just wish it was maybe 10, 20 stories taller. That would definitely stick out in the skyline.
It’s not the worst…If we had to choose, it’s way down the list for (- new and/or re-) development changes
What’s this for???
I have no clue. I haven’t heard anybody mention anything about this building…
Anything to do with window washing?
A source tells me they’re kicking off a $5m reno project.
Great time to do it while almost nobody is in the building…
Seriously?? Hopefully a complete streetlevel makeover to add some retail space. Just making sure it’s not being confused with the Capital Bank building reno that was just discussed here…
Yeah, but only if they add 20 plus floors…Lol
It would appear to be an ideal candidate for that - with out seeing the internal structure. This to me is one of the prime redevelopment spots downtown. I’d rather see them tear this down or add on to it than mess with the Brigg’s et.al. block.
Just tear it down and start over. Commercial Bank was torn down for that thing built in 1911. Also, no windows facing Fayetteville St? Uh, why even bother being downtown…
Because you are next door to Mecca!!
call the police someone is stealing an ATM !!!
I was going to comment something similar but declined, but now I’m accepting the challenge.
Anyone know how much money they got?
