Same here the 2 bed/2bath, 1/3 the space and over 4 times mortgage. Much as I would like to live downtown Raleigh, it’s not going to happen.
Wait, the building opens in two weeks or the plaza area? It just seems way ahead of schedule for that.
Dec 4th it was reported here
Wow…3 grand+ for a two bedroom apartment! That’s, um, pretty insane. It’s going to be interesting to see how fast/slow these rent.
These shiny towers don’t pay for themselves
So FNB has lost naming rights for some reason and so the building isn’t currently named, I’ll might end up having other info on this building since it’s Thanksgiving and my grandfather who worked on this is here today!
I’ve always liked Charter Square better anyway!
Does that mean FNB not occupying the finished tower?
FNB is having one floor of office space and are in talks of getting the logo on the building, but apartments aren’t yet going to be leased since the building doesn’t have a name yet.
So does that leave 9 floors of office space available?
I wonder who would be interested in big chunk of premium contiguous space right smack in the core and doesn’t want to wait for it to be built out.
There is only 6 floors of office I believe. They are currently building out 3 floors… 4, 5, and 7. Not sure who is getting what…
Why in the world would a building need to be named in order to rent the apartments? Do they really think name cache means anything from one building to another in DTR?
The apartments themselves will be named like how Plaza Condominiums are a separate name from PNC.
Marketing is the only reason I can see, but this was the information that was relayed to me.
Holy **** they copied my suggestion. The apartments are now called “501 Faye”.
No offense but what is it with these horrible names? Raleigh Crossing? 501 Faye? I’m sorry but these are terrible.
At least Raleigh Crossing doesn’t have the number address in the name!
They aren’t all bad. Here are a few examples that I think are good/okay:
- Smoky Hollow
- The Dillon
- Nexus
- One Glenwood (yes, I know it has the number in it, but at least that number is 1)
- Charter Square. That’s a fine name, and they should just stick with that for both buildings and all occupancies instead of trying finding another name. Why not The Residences at Charter Square?
I can’t say that I like Two Hillsborough since its address is not 2 Hillsborough. IMO, there has to be something special about the address number, and it needs to be real in order for it to work. The Bloc83 area had the opportunity to name itself in whole, but it seems to be named in pieces instead. Two Hillsborough could have easily been Tower 2 at One Glenwood.
I don’t know why for main street is still named after another city but it is so it is. Ask anyone what they think about Fayetteville and it’s all negative.
Just a thought . It may be because of the military .
501 Faye is not good IMO. I also think BB&T / Suntrust really missed the mark with their new name of Truist. But who am I except WAY off topic?
