Just got some additional renderings from what was shared on the Insta account. While there isn’t an obvious location in the renderings for a band, there will be accommodations for live music.
These additions are helpful. The original one shared made it look 4 floors when in fact it’s 3.
If you wait until just before construction, it will be a one story building made completely from cement blocks next to a twelve story parking garage
This will never happen.
The person that owns this project suggests otherwise, but you’re right, we’ll see.
It looks awesome and would really change this corner of Glenwood. But until 1 see one project completed by Cityplat, I have doubts. Unless Cityplat is the leasing agent for the shipping containers, that’s a possibility, they do a decent job of that.
CityPlat is just the landlord. They don’t have a hand in the actual project/development.
Ok nice, that changes everything! I now have high optimism this happens!
Just grabbed a few slices of pizza at the newly opened Anthony’s La Piazza on Glenwood Ave. I can report that the pizza is very good! Staff was awesome too. As a huge pizza lover and someone that lives in Glenwood, I’m happy to finally have a solid place to grab some pizza.
Is it sold by the slice? If so, that’s unexpected.
Yeah they’ve got full pies and slices! Also plan to try their pasta soon.
I think it’s just an opening special. But my slices of cheese were only $1.50ea.
Kind of a confusing article but some stabbing(s) outside Cornerstone Tavern last night. Great…
Oh joy…the “fun” has moved to weekdays as well.
Looks like Vic’s on Glenwood has soft opened
great news, Vic’s is a great restaurant, that area doesn’t really have any Italian spots (except for Anthony’s now, which literally JUST opened), and Bloc83 is always in need of more restaurants/retail that’ll generate more consistent daily traffic. I think it’ll do great in that location.
Looking forward to visiting that area soon to see if the combination of Dram & Draught, First Watch, YogaSix, 321 Coffee, First Horizon Bank, Incendiary Brewing, and now Vic’s is making a difference in the foot traffic.
Dram & Draught or Incendiary Brewing + Vic’s Pizza sounds like a great combo of a night.
Definitely check out Anthony’s La Piazza. Anthony and Vic are both doing Italian and they’re very supportive of each other. Anthony is really elevating the Italian menu and it’s really good.
Hoping both of them can thrive! Anthony’s is very good too. I imagine they can as Anthony’s is more of a full service Italian spot & Vic’s spot on Glenwood definitely looks more of a slice shop.
Went to Anthony’s last night. Fantastic food, higher price point than Vic’s, but a great experience top to bottom. They plan to keep the bar open until midnight or 1 and create an elevated club vibe in the bar area after closing down the kitchen. The restaurant is actually big, it looks much smaller from the street.
