Future of Glenwood South

Good time to be color blind.

If you can’t have tainted meat, you’ll go for the turquoise gloop fake meat, I guess. Not surprised.

When you get to that point in the night when your food turns the same color as your margarita… it might be time to call it quits.

Hold up I’m not recalling the tainted meat reference???

Sigh. LOL
Awhile back we were talking about hole in the wall places and cheap food, and you were all about it. I made a couple jokes about you liking to eat tainted meat.

FWIW, I’ve eaten my fair share of really strange stuff, but I do it at foreign Michelin restaurants where I trust I won’t get botulism or something. So far so good.

This place looks pretty cool. WTF is wrong with you people? Lighten up…

Also, looks like the girls who own this are from Buffalo. A few WNY references in the menu so that explains the raunchy (and cool).

And why Jake likes it… :joy:

This is actually the resurrection of the restaurant of the same name that closed in Apex about a year ago. Same ownership group as Marian (VegSouth Hospitality) who also own Element Gastropub on Fayetteville St. Marian is apparently reopening in Benson this weekend.

When you go from painting outside buildings :seafoam_green: to putting it in the food, you may have a problem

Maybe I didn’t include the right emojis but my comments were very much tounge in cheek. It’s a creative concept and much more interesting than the generic corporate schlop we usually get around here. I figure if they call themselves the Dirty V and pour blue slime on their mac’n’cheez, they can probably take a joke. The market for drunk food on the Triangle’s main party strip is endless. If the success of The Dankery on Hillsborough is any indication, they might do very well.

This is what you see before you start a bar brawl with some Klingons.

lol they just had to resubmit an ASR because the previous one expired. Wonder if they’ll eventually have to submit a third ASR for this one.

I mean I love it, it’s unique and better use than another parking lot and abandoned building but… I have zero confidence in this group. Money laundering scheme, prove me wrong.

I’m actually surprised that Glenwood-Brookyn hasn’t exploded an artery over this one being on THEIR side of Peace St.

No shadows!

I dislike this project intensely. It looks just cheap to me.

It’s allowed by right. No amount of exploded arteries will change that

These plans were released by CityPlat, so they know there is a 0% chance they’ll actually happen.
