I think I might be dead by the time the City of Raleigh realizes it could probably fund most of our projects simply by actually issuing fines for finable offenses like that.
I’ve never in my life seen a car parked in a bike lane with a ticket on its windshield, here. In fact, there’s a church on Oberlin Rd that I fully believe guilted the city into pausing the bike lane along the length of its property and, while there are still “NO PARKING” signs along said stretch - church people park along the road there EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
No fines, no tickets. Just unending and utterly abused leniency and privilege.
