General Retail/Restaurant News

It’s good to read you’ll be able enter if your escorted by a server from Jolie or Crawford and Sons.

Here’s a quote

“There’s something so warming about being able to go to a bar on a holiday if you don’t have a family—or if you’re sick of your family and want a drink.”

That is nice, but I don’t know how they’re gonna ever have room. They were often at capacity during prime hours just with the key system.

Supposedly Tim Hortons is looking to make its way to The Triangle. Personally wasn’t a fan during my first visit to one in Detroit. But would still welcome them if they’d like to open a downtown location. We need some chains like Tim’s in downtown.

I’m from Rochester. Tim Hortons = Dunkin Donuts = Starbucks = Krispy Kreme = … they’re all the damn same. So pointless for them to also come here ugh

If they’ll go downtown where Starbucks and Dunkin won’t than it’s more than fine by me.

There is a Starbucks in the Marriott on Fayetteville, on Peace St, and in Cameron Village (2 actually, literally across the street from each other hahaha)

The one on Peace is literally out the back door from my condo building and I maybe go there once or twice a year. I have my own inexpensive espresso machine at home. It’s a lot cheaper!
It’s just stupid what they charge for coffee these days. It’s a rip off.

I buy way too many Takis, Yoo Hoo, and link sausage to ever carry it home on foot.

Starbucks has push button espresso machines. You’re better off with a Mr. Coffee. There are basically two places in DTR that pull hand-packed espresso shots on a quality machine they know how to use: Iris Coffee Lab and Heirloom. Maybe Jubala on a good day.

Anyone see the LaFarm going up on Glenwood South? Was that big news? Don’t recall hearing anything about it

Supposedly the corner of W Jones and Glenwood

If this is some kind of prank, I’m going to be devastated.

Not a prank, drove by this morning on my way to work and saw the sign. Must have gone up this morning because I definitely did not see it yesterday. It’s in the old Revolver space on Glenwood

That’s considered fresh food at the Pittsboro Dollar General

I don’t know what Revolver was, but is it the Google Fiber building or the Raleigh Wine Shop building? They’re at Glenwood and W Jones.

Sorry, this is the space it’s taking. Thought the original plans for the building were to expand it into the parking lot
