Don’t you yawn at my hard-won Instagram screenshots, Jake!
Just yawning at those corporate BS chains coming to these spaces. Glad to see the spaces being taken… just wish all the empty retail spaces in Raleigh weren’t so goddamn expensive that only boring corporate BS like this can afford them.
I couldn’t care less about any of these TBH. Just happy for less dead space.
I actually don’t mind Primo Hoagies too much. I usually snag a meatball sub at the location in PNC during Canes games. Also, looks like they’ve already listed the location on their website:
Looks like this is officially official. The Darby will be a ramen noodle shop.
Berkeley now back full time wit 3 nights of ‘entertainment’ besides music gigs. It’s Mondays - Bingo, Tuesdays- Karaoke and Wednesdays- Open Mike! Plus!! THEY MAKE THEIR OWN ICE CREAM!!
Have they found a way to somehow mimic that awesome back porch in the old location?
I’m guessing no, but one way to find out. We’re gonna be downtown later and I think we might have to check out the new space.
No. Its a really small space outside unfortunately…
According to Raleigh Magazine, Umbrella Dry Bar is setting up a weekly Saturday pop-up at Rebus Works starting this Saturday, and a Wednesday one at Cheeni Durham starting next week. They also mention that Rebus Works will stock their bottled stuff, and that more pop-ups are coming to Live After 5, North Hills Beach Music, Raleigh Pride, etc.
Not mentioned: I’ll be having an adjacent pop-up, selling airplane bottles of vodka in little paper bags out of my trenchcoat.
Not official yet but according to the interwebs a business based on Electric Vegan Life⚡️ (@electricveganlife) • Instagram photos and videos is coming to one of the retail spaces under Platform
On my walk down Hillsborough today, I saw that there was a staff meeting in the new Alpaca site (old IHOP) happening. I suppose that means that they will open soon. I am looking forward to having another good quality fast option that isn’t ridiculously expensive.
Another “win” for Fayetteville St lmao. I’ll be honest; I think the biggest problem with F-street is that it has become Glenwood South levels of trashiness without the Glenwood South levels of foot traffic. The trash to people ratio is way too high, in other words.
Surely the ABC store will clear that up.
Like Armadillo, might this result in them losing their business? I guess that time will tell.
I think the Big Easy is the only one that is for sure in trouble here. The Davie and The Cardinal would only be in trouble if they knowingly allowed or ignored drug sales.
Very soon, just no official opening date set yet.
Well, The Cardinal somehow avoids having a restaurant sanitation grade, so it’s not like they’re averse to dodging rules.
