It’s been pushed back until at least September now.
I volunteer at the Place at the table, I got to meet Christina jones the first time on Tuesday or Wednesday, this Friday I volunteered and I’m doing more volunteering on again also on Friday.
I don’t think this has been posted yet. Not a DTR thing, but closely related.

EDIT: Since the preview isn’t working for Insta, BB’s Chicken is closing both the Raleigh and Durham locations but keeping their Cary Parkside location.
It was brutally expensive for pretty average fried chicken the one time I went. Not surprising.
Yeah… when ChikFilA opened right down the street on Six Forks (practically around the corner from the Midtown BBs), that was the death knell right there.
agreed - didn’t find the chicken to have any flavor, wasn’t a fan of the breading, and the fries were just average as well. Definitely not her best effort
Where is this? Extra characters
We ate in midtown almost weekly since we go to Wegmans for groceries.
I won’t miss the chicken sandwiches or fries. The breading was almost impossibly crunchy, which was an interesting novelty but ultimately didn’t make a great sandwich IMO. And the fries… they kept changing the cut, sometimes they were decent, others actively unpleasant.
But the caesar salads were good imo. I will miss those. Pretty good dressing, great croutons. Grilled chicken wasn’t as overcooked as fried and had a decent marinade. Oh well.
Hah, we have the same grocery store lunch run, but I’m a Torchy’s or Wegman’s sandwich man myself.
We may become such people too… unless I can pivot this into buying ready-made meals from Wegmans to bring home and save a bit of money (in theory).

Hmmmm, another brewery in an already crowded market. Obviously a less than stellar location. Mr. Wonderful would definitely say “I’m out’. No ROI to be made . Convince me otherwise. No hopium, real facts.
IMO, the ready made meals from Wegman’s are $$$$
They are not opening another brewery but a new bar concept. They have ZERO competition currently. The home behind the building start @ $650,000 - $1,300,000 now…its a new neighborhood.
You may have 1 or 2 million dollar homes. A majority of those homes have been subsidized in some way by various agencies. I hope it works but I would not sign off on this loan. Better locations with better clientele have already failed trying this concept.
good thing they didn’t go to you for financing then ![]()
Apparently North State Bank feels differently…along with developers who must have access to real capital.
That’s the best you got? This is a forum of highly skilled world problem solvers .

Check out my interview with Anthony Guerra at Oakwood Pizza Box!
At the end she shares a great idea about a local restaurant incubator concept. I’m all in!
