I like brioche buns from Whole Foods with the burgers I make myself with my meat grinder. Did I prove you right instead?
Yeah, my theory has always been - if you don’t appreciate old buildings, it follows that you also eat brioche.
Love the neon sign above the door
I’ve always wanted to buy a museum but I never knew where to look. Perfect!
I’d rather have them sell hemp than another place to get people drunk.
My wife’s doing the construction, hopefully I’ll have the plans soon.
Is that the right building? I thought Toro and Common Market were going into the abandoned building on the north of the property, not this one in the southwest corner…
Anyways, there’s also apparently a Giorgios Group sushi place open now by GEM / East End Bistrot / the cider place:
Wrong building - Common Market and Toro will go where you mentioned - 807 Halifax St. The Common Market to Open Location in Raleigh
A little
told me La Cucina is officially open inside Smoky Hollow.

This one? ![]()
Looks great but this isn’t downtown ![]()
Ehhhh, it basically is at this point - especially when (if) Downtown South eventually gets developed, this will just be right in the mix of things
Went this weekend and tried the basic salted pretzel - was quite good, made fresh. Definitely will be back to try some of the more interesting offerings (stuffed pretzels and pretzel dogs)
Also gave them a try. Tastes just like a Philly Pretzel. I got their salted pretzel & cinnamon sugar. Very tasty, will for sure be back as well!
OK you sold me. I will stop by the next time I head that way.
