Give Raleigh and Other Charitable Giving

We don’t mention a lot of charities here on the forum so I thought maybe we could change that. I hope to raise just a little awareness that some people/groups are hands-on helping those in need. I’ll start with a mention of Give Raleigh, Raleigh Magazine’s currently ongoing giving campaign as they hope to raise money for seven local groups including:

• Family Promise of the Triangle
• The Green Chair Project
• Oak City Cares
• Wake Tech Fostering Bright Futures
• Healing Transitions
• The Carying Place
• The Women’s Center of Wake County

My church has strongly supported Oak City Cares for several years now. I’ve never personally gone, but some members of our congregation go every month. They always have very positive things to say about the experience and how well it is appreciated by the community.
