It is really hard to imagine how far we have some in just a year on this project. Hopefully this will set the standard for other projects rising in the coming years.

Thank goodness you’re back. The responsibility was too much for me to bear. And also, I can’t see the parking deck base from the webcam. :face_holding_back_tears:

Isn’t anyone going to mention the hands of the Giant who’s trapped under that concrete platform? That could mess up the entire project!!!

First glance, I thought it was a mural on the wall.

Your Fun Friday update. To be sure I’m ready for them to get the rest of those panels on and for those 1am deliveries to stop.

Did they ever end up setting up a parking deck crane?

Not yet!! I have been looking :eyes: for it. They seem to have slowed down some. I will try to get a birdie update soon. Crane :building_construction: watch 2024.

I was just going to say that even if they haven’t been focusing on the parking deck, they’ve really been going to town on getting the sides up. They just installed to the 19th floor on the parking deck side last night.

And then just now they moved the webcam to focus on the parking deck!

Some residents of Capital Square might be closer to the Red Hat stage than concertgoers if they move it to that lot.

I’m excited for the area the edge of Downtown for now (until Downtown South), will be very active in the coming years. When is convention center construction gonna start?

Damn, I get the move to that lot for the amphitheater - but seeing this angle really has me wishing they’d save this huge lot for a highrise.

any idea when they plan to start on the new RHA in that lot?

I think the press release said mid-2025?

This is from the city’s website: “The expansion of the Raleigh Convention Center could be complete in the next four years”.
