The website was updated recently to show they are sold out. I wonder if this will help spur some of the newer developments coming to add a condo component instead of all rentals.
Maybe someone will actually make one thatâs steel framed or concrete?
Wait, when did they repave and restripe Peace? It looks good from that angle.
I want to say about a year ago? I know it was after they started clearing the lot for the condos but they werenât far along.
Canât remember if it was scrapped or not - does this one have ground floor retail?
I believe it still does
Wasnât a Starbucks supposed to be coming to the ground floor of this development?
Oooooo that sounds familiar- hopefully moving in from next door and selling the current Starbucks lot to highest bidderâŚ
Just went back and looked, apparently there is a coffee shop coming there but Iâm not sure if the Starbucks next door is going to relocate there or not.
Itâs gotta be. Starbucks moves in next to locally owned small-business coffee shops and tries to destroy them, not the other way around. Cannot imagine someone would try opening a new, local coffee shop next to an established (and busy) Starbucks. While I ALWAYS prefer a locally owned coffee shop, I do hope in this case the Starbucks just moves to this new building and the current Starbucks lot can become something new and mixed use!
If Starbucks is going to have trouble with their world dominance, itâs locally-focused downtown Raleigh.
Itâs going to be chaos if they move into this building, the parking lot at the current starbucks is a nightmare.
As long as they donât give it a drive thru, we will be ok.
Yep! They placed a Starbucks âPick Upâ location on Hillsborough thatâs had virtually no impact on traffic due to the format:
Provide space for cars, and youâll attract cars.
Starbucks isnât going to move in to destroy an independent coffee shop next door because Starbucks is the coffee shop next door to this project. If an independent moved in, theyâd be choosing to be next door to a Starbucks. Itâs hard to imagine a decision so brazen, but who knows? To make matters worse, a McCafe is across the street as well.
You just made my exact point againâŚ
Am I the only one that sees buildings like this and wish they would keep the green or purple exterior?
