147 pictures and 4 came out decent.
LOVE that last shot. Raleigh could use this for promotional materials!!!
Haha I don’t know about that, but thank you.
First off, great shots!
Second, I love that even our sunflowers in Raleigh love to look at the skyline.

The sides of the building…?
That’s got to be it. Great. Thanks!
Bringing back buku!?

Speaking of, has anyone been to Chef DuVuray’s new spot in RTP ?
I miss Buku’s brunch buffet… please bring it back
Is there any planned developments between the Boylan Bridge and the railroad tracks? Was up there on the bridge today and just couldn’t help but think that this would be my dream downtown Raleigh park space. Great skyline views, good accessibility from all parts of downtown, could be the start of the rail trail
With Union Station and Rus Bus coming soon, this would be a great hangout spot for all the travelers coming in and out of our city. It would be a shame if we put a building here in my opinion.
Just my RUS park plan connecting to the Artery.
So no nothing official
That would likely be a huge safety issue without significant railing to keep ppls off of the tracks. The LAST thing we need to get more ppls into riding rail is for more incidents between trains and pedestrians/cars. Every time there is an accident (car/pedestrian hit by a train) it becomes another arrow in the quiver for the anti transit folks pointing to how dangerous trains are. (Even though it is almost always not the fault of the train… train tracks don’t move people/cars do…)
Ugh I wish. Your plan is perfect
Agreed. Fencing along the park would likely be necessary.
The artery is @orulz doing! There’s a few threads with a lot of great convo in it.
I think the linear parks and underused space thread probably has the most talk about it.
Idk if anything can even be done here due to proximity to the RR tracks, but … would be nice if it were at very least landscaped nicely LMAO. Has always looked like shit, the eyesore in the foreground of all Boylan Bridge pics. Nice landscaping and even some public art installations that can be viewed from the bridge would be sweet (if nothing like a park could be done)
Is that railroad land (in which case, good luck) or city land bounded by the railroads (in which case we might have some hope)?
Unfortunately it’s all RR and DOT land
It’s going to be activated further with the SEHSR platform on the western leg of the wye. And, there will be two more commuter tracks as well as the commuter platform on the southern leg.
