I didn’t know where else to put this but… my unpopular opinion is that I would love to see more dense brick buildings (brown & clay colored) be built downtown or in Raleigh in general.
i lived in charlote for almost three years doing delivery work in the early 2000s. its downtown had more sheen so to speak but i never liked the place. The residential areas were essentially cookie cutter kind like newer raleigh and i wasnt impressed with traffic flow. im glad to have left it honestly. but it has pro sports if thats the draw.
You must be an NCSU Student

Lol nope Boston University. I am a fan of the basketball and football teams though.

I believe 400 H, is to the far left, and i hope that developers build the city hall plaza tower sometime soon. Maybe
.
Nice photo with contrasting features!
Wonder if this will be a record setting year?! The record was set at First Night 2014 with 80,000 attendees. I have a good feeling this might’ve passed it. Maybe even closer to 90k
I was thinking the same thing, but admittedly didn’t realize the record was already so high.
Taken from the YouTube that I posted previously, this might be the most “city” shot of Raleigh that I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for sharing!

I’ll admit that I really had to dive into this picture, as I didn’t think it was really Raleigh. My first thought was that it was some combination of pictures of other places. Super glad to be wrong

“I’ll Be Home for Christmas” by Jason Adamo (Unofficial Video)
Sharing the video again. I think this deserves more love and views.
Raleigh has good and bad angles. From the good ones, which that video nails, it looks legit. It also looks better at night than during the day.
The urban density is there. But, I still get the impression of a three-fingered skyline. Now, if they had also done some fly-arounds of North Hills, it could have had some more variety.
