I hope this year we can 40 stories breaking ground like nexus
Think our best bet for a 35-40 story building breaking ground will be RUSbus, but even that seems like wishful thinking at this point…
It sounds like the first NEXUS tower will have around 450 units… that lines up for 36 or 37 stories
I thought nexus would have 40
Stories

Well I thankful what Kane doing downtown south venue which make me mad about soccer stadium
Where are you getting that information?
I thought RusBus was almost certainly moving forward this year. But Nexus seems like it’s never happening. Waiting for a 400H miracle for that one…
Downtown south construction Raleigh Nc that how I searched it up
It was mentioned in an N&O or TBJ article a few months ago.
Thanks. I’ll have to go search.
Yep you’re welcome sir have a good day
I think you might have it confused with this article announced by the TBJ in October 2022. This proposed development is on the lot facing Nash Square where the proposed hotel was supposed to go.
A new residential development is planned for a downtown Raleigh site that’s ready for up to 40 stories of development.
Two New York-based companies have partnered to buy a recently rezoned property. Developer Alchemy Properties South and its capital partner, New Valley Realty, have acquired 303 S. Dawson and 217 W. Martin streets for a combined $16 million.
Alchemy Properties officials plan to develop luxury residential units on the vacant lot at 303 S. Dawson, which totals less than an acre. There will be up to 450 apartments for rent and condominium units. Alchemy did not reveal how many stories the tower would be or the cost and timeline of the project.
Anything I’ve seen about Nexus/residential has stuff in the low 400 unit range or less depending on the article.

Oh okay buddy thank you so much god blessed you
Why would rusbus be wishful thinking? Demo and site prep is nearly complete and doesn’t it have something to do with federal funding that forces the city to be done by 2025? I don’t understand why they’d spend the money on demo and site prep plus turn west street to one way just to suspend the project. If anything the only part of rus that should be in limbo or danger is quality design.
