Wow look how wide that street is (how narrow the sidewalks are). Wish they still had a cop there now. I feel like downtown has virtually no police presence. Also, I never know how to feel about old pictures of DTR. Sometimes it seems like it’s booming and more active than now (or 10 years ago), but then I also feel like Raleigh was much smaller and less developed then. Until I invent a time machine, I guess there’s no way for me to know for sure.

Well, all of the downtown stores hadn’t abandoned DT yet. Crabtree didn’t open until 1972.
