Took me a second to recognize the building, but this looks a lot better.
In good company with Shane Davis Inc. renovating/updating/adding on to the house across the street at 208 E Lenior St.
So if “Unrushed” is real… what is Acme Studios???
So impatient. Don’t “rush” it. Just wait and see.
Unrushed (or whatever the entity is behind this concept) is the tenant.
The building is owned by Acme Steel, LLC (since 1986).
So probably the rendering is from their marketing materials while they searched for a tenant requiring minimal upfit (a studio use).
I thought Steel owns the building:
I’m just going by the iMaps tax listing for Owner.
Same PO Box address for both entities.
Steel just looks like a modernized marketing name. The Steel link you added even refers to Acme Steel within.
I believe ACME is the building name, “Steel” is a development company in Raleigh and they use it in their LLC creation:
Here is the property sales history:
Okay, not “since 1986” despite iMaps erroneously noting on the cover page for the property information that there had been no sale since 1986.
However the current 2024 deed does list Acme Steel, LLC as the grantee which matches the iMaps information.
Rendering probably prepared for the Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) application for their presumably minor modification since the property is located within the Prince Hall Historic District.
