Raleigh and Pop Culture

I’m surprised this hasn’t come up in the forum at all. Raleigh adjacent (based in Durham) but there are view/filing “in” Raleigh as well as far as I can tell from watching the miniseries.

Many former Nortel people, myself included, who worked alongside Kathleen live in Raleigh. I went to the trial and was on the witness list but was never called. I had known both Kathleen and Michael for a long time prior to her murder; I’d been in the infamous stairway. Not a doubt in my mind that he did it.

Wow! That’s quite the response! Certainly close to home and even more-so for you. Have you seen this most recent documentary? I understand there was the original French documentary but I thought this one was well done that kind of came over the top. Several notable actors/actresses as well.

And super unfortunate situation. I got the feeling he definitely did it as well from the miniseries but you can’t form an opinion just from that. I really felt bad for the family that not only lost a family member (blood related or not) but had to endure such a long drawn out process that he put them through. I hope they’ve all managed to find some sense of peace and purpose to live a good life.

All I know about the dramatizations is what my friends have told me. I’m hypertensive already and might have a stroke watching one.

It really is one thing to know something horrible happened, but seeing it, even dramatized, brings a whole other level of trauma. Avoiding it sounds like a wise choice, and I am sorry you lost your friend
